I have been practicing intellectual property law since 1995. For the last 15 years, my practice has focused on patent litigation and licensing. I have handled district court lawsuits from Hawaii to Delaware and many places in between. I have argued at the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and have handled dozens of IPRs. Feel free to contact me if there is a patent related matter you would like to discuss.
About Myself
I received a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M in 1990. I then went on to graduate from University of Texas School of Law in 1995.
I started my legal career at a boutique patent firm in 1995 prosecuting patents for a Fortune 50 company. From there, I moved to Vinson & Elkins in Dallas and continued my intellectual property law practice. I then moved to Motorola in Austin, Texas, where I helped lead Motorola's global licensing efforts regarding its semiconductor portfolio. After leaving Motorola, I went to SigmaTel, a fabless semiconductor manufacture in Austin, where I rose to the position of Vice President, General Counsel. After SigmaTel was acquired, I formed a law firm with three others and continued to serve clients in patent-related matters.
I left my law firm in 2021 to enjoy more free time. I continue to work on various patent related matters for select clients. I am registered to practice with the Patent and Trademark Office (Reg. No. 38,397) and am an active member of the State Bar of Texas.
